Following the conclusion of an abysmal 2024-25 season, NC State has pulled the trigger and fired Kevin Keatts after eight years in Raleigh. The Wolfpack will begin an immediate coaching search and targets have already emerged.

Much like the way NC State's ACC play started on the road several months back, the Wolfpack fell apart late in an embarrassing 72-70 loss at Miami. State built up a double-digit lead at halftime, but allowed a 10-0 run in the final 3:41 of play, watching an eight-point lead turn into a two-point loss to the worst team in the ACC.
